Evaluate a Solution
After creating the first design, we discovered that the game was top heavy and unstable. To correct this problem, we added more product to the base and placed a support piece of the back of the top.
Present Solution
This assignment was a fun way to explore engineering and how we can use the design process to create new things. After deciding on what project we were going to do, my partner and I began planning. The coin drop game has a rather simplistic design, and though I was unfortunately out sick for two days of work time, we were able to get a lot done the first day of working. The main problem we ran into while building was stabilizing the game so it could stand on its own. This was caused by the top-heaviness of the machine, so we added more cardboard to the original bottom piece to balance things out.
